Sundays trip to Farmoor was far more rewarding than the previous one. Lots of #crippsyscritters out in force and the lighting was pretty awesome. First time of snapping a Great Egret and my best shot of a Goldfinch to date. Both of them absolutely fantastic birds at either end of the size scale.
Wooly hat made it's Autumn debut today. Good few hours spent at the Cress beds and it was ever-so-slightly chilly today but it was time well spent. Charged up the batteries for another busy week. Nothing special today on the photo front but I did get a few for the #crippsyscritters archive. Love to all x
#crippsyscritters Hanley Swan Holibobs Part 1 Thought I had better break this down as I do have a few snaps from an absolutely glorious break with the family. Our accommodation was originally a five minute walk from the River Severn, Storm Babet meant that between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, the walk was shortened to 20 seconds as it reached the end of our driveway. One of the most beautiful parts of this country that I have been fortunate to visit. I did get a little bit addicted to the view from our balcony. Nature is beautiful. Have a lovely evening all x
14TH APRIL 2024
28TH APRIL 2024 Once the glorious spring showers buggered off we managed a little bit of time at one of our favourite places this afternoon. As stunning as Mother Nature is, she can be pretty savage too and we are unfortunately down to one duckling at the Cress Beds now but this critter was going full pelt and relieving the place of some of them pesky water dwelling flies to fill up his/her tummy. Upped the shutter speed on the camera and managed a couple of 'action shots' of the ongoing tea time hunt, if you zoom in, you can see the little flies before they meet their impending doom. All very dramatic
