On Tuesday 12th February 2002, Claire Killick sadly passed away from Cancer.
After losing several family members within a short space, it had a knock on effect to the families health.
After dealing with his own struggles, Steve Killick (Son) set up the Claire Killick Memorial in her memory to help raise awareness for Mental Health.
The Claire Killick Memorial is a project that is ran independently but it works along side The Lucy Rayner Foundation to share their work and be able to signpost people who are struggling to a professional.
NO ONE IS ALONE.
While the project is all about raising awareness through campaign work, Steve helps fundraise money for the charity because without people's donations, they wouldn't be able to offer services to help those who need it.
There are plenty of ways you can get involved with this amazing work, click here to find out more
While the Claire Killick Memorial is mainly about Mental Health, sometimes there will be occasions where awareness is needed around the Cancer Research side of things.
So many people in this world are dying from this horrific condition which needs to be stopped but that can only be done through awareness and funding.
